A Day at the Museum

JR and Kim invited us to join them for a day at the museum. What a treat! They are so knowledgeable of the cultural options in our town. :)
Kim suggested this adorable place for lunch. It is called The Cafe. It is off Broadway by Louisville Stoneware. We had great food. Matt picked the art deco sandwich with a cup of chili. Since he likes guaco this was a winner for him. I picked a salad instead of soup and also the chicken salad sandwich with a side of fruit salad, delish. Kim picked the dill tomato soup with he chicken salad sandwich. But poor JR, he opted for the hot brown. Yeah, I know. Should be safe in Louisville, huh? No. It looked like a gravy soup mass on top of two small slivers of turkey flanked with hard, hard toast. Anyway, all of us full.... off to the Ali museum.

JR and Kim were given these tickets to the Muhammad Ali Museum for free. Wow!  We had Mom watch Corbin and had a day out. The museum was much better than I thought. Being as I am not a boxing fan, I was not thrilled with the idea of going to the museum , but rather getting to go out with the Ramsey's. There were two full floors of exhibits.

Here is my hand in Ali's.

They had a section of the museum set up as a practice ring. There was a shadow box, a punching bag that showed you the pressure you would feel after a direct hit, small punching bags you see here (boy it is much harder than it looks), and these large punching bags.

Ali's daughter was giving a tutorial here in this part. Through a video of course.

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee...

This was a good day. Thanks Ramsey's!
